Preparing Turkish Coffee with IBRIK
What you need!
18g of fine coffee ground (ideally freshly roasted coffee)
3g Sugar (preferably cane sugar)
120ml water at room temperature
1583 Coffee Ibrik
40ml blood orange juice
Spices (e.g. nutmeg ground)
Brew Your Turkish Coffee
Pour coffee, sugar, and water into the ibrik. You may also add blood orange juice water and a pinch of nutmeg ground.
Stir with a spoon and put the ibrik on a stove, setting the flame at medium. If available, bury the bottom half of the ibrik in the hot sand at 300°C.
Wait until the foam rises and takes its "first breath" before removing it from the heat.
Pour into a cup and wait for two minutes to let it slightly cool down before your first sip. Serve with a glass of water. Enjoy your Turkish coffee.
